Birth Options Survey

Choosing where to give birth.

From experience, I know that choosing where to give birth to your baby is a big and important decision.
If you are being cared for by James Paget Maternity Services, you have the choice of three settings:
  • Dolphin Suite, the Midwife Led Birthing Unit (MLBU)
  • Home Birth
  • Central Delivery Suite
The MVP team here at Birth Voices, along with the Maternity leaders at James Paget, would like to understand what factors influenced your choice in where to give birth. If you have had a baby within the last two years, at James Paget, or were cared for at home by their Home Birth team, we'd really appreciate your response on our survey.

This survey is important because it is felt that Dolphin Suite, the Midwife Led Birthing Unit at the Paget could be used by more birthing people. Feedback from those that have used the Dolphin Suite is generally very positive, we'd really like to find out why more people don't choose this option, or whether there are barriers or obstacles to access the unit.

Responding to our survey gives collective service user voice and helps to inform guidelines.
Thank you for taking the time to get involved, as with all our surveys, responses are anonymous and you will not receive an individual reply, however, if you would like a reply, or to get more involved in this- or any other project we run, please do use the contact form at the bottom of the page. While you're on our website, please check out our blog and other surveys that may be relevant to you.
